The Games are just a nice, positive way to build friendships, camaraderie and, of course, self-esteem. Plus, the Games are a great opportunity for people to participate in sports who normally wouldn't. --Greg Louganis
FOUNDATION WEEK is the most-awaited event in TUMCS every year and every student really prepares for it. In this event is where students are having opportunities to play and participate in different games such as Volleball, Chess, Basketball and competitons such Cheerdance, Ballroom, and Modern Dance. For us, who actively participates in competitions every year, it is just a normal thing, but for some of the students, it's really a great opportunity.
DEFENDING CHAMPION of CHEERDANCE COMPETION last year SOPHOMORES, this year JUNIORS, next year SENIORS :) |
Those were the lyrics of our yell that retained in the minds of High School students. I just can't get over how the crowd reacted in our Cheerdance and I'm just too happy that we brought too much entertainment in the whole gymnasium. From SOPHOMORES to JUNIORS we are the DEFENDING CHAMPION and our next target is SENIORS' championship.
By GOD's grace our batch (2010-2011) of JUNIORS won most of the games and competition this year including Basketball(boys), Volleyball, Badminton, Chess, Cheering, and Ballroom (I guess that's all). I just feel so blessed that I do belong in this batch of active, competitive, intelligent, kind and God-fearing students of TUMCS.
For me, FAIRNESS was observed during the Intrams except for the referees, for example during the basketball games(boys) even if it was already a foul and everybody saw it, they won't call for a foul. My brother also told me that he was being nudged by another player and yet there was no call from the referee. I just don't know if they weren't able to see it or what.
In general, the whole Intrams was good. Opponents were sports and some even developed friendship. They didn't take the whole competition personally and that's what matters most in every competition, those who are friends before become still friends and those who are strangers before become friends.
We really are a very competitive person, but I think that's just good. As long as you're not hurting anyone and AS LONG AS IT IS A FRIENDLY COMPETITION.
